Twitterを始めて知った言葉に「空目（そらめ）」というのがあります。「○○を△△に空目した」みたいな使い方をするのですが、てっきり「空耳」に対する造語だと思っていたんですね。

で、ふと思い立って調べてみたら、なんと「空目」が辞書にあるじゃないですか！

完全に「空耳」の耳に対して目で「空目」という造語だとばかり思っていたので、けっこう驚きました。だって、人生で初めて知ったのですからね。

そらめ【空目】の意味 国語辞典 - goo辞書によると、次のように。

(1)見えないのに見たように思うこと。
(2)見て見ないふりをすること。
「―を使う」
(3)ひとみを上に向けること。うわめ。
「羽織を畳みながら一寸余の顔を―で見る/大内旅宿（虚子）」

言葉自体は古くからあるもののようです。

ということで「空目」は「空耳」に対する造語ではない、というお話でした。Twitterでつぶやいたら知らない人も多かったので、ブログでメモしておきます。
